Escher Envy
I designed and created the below tessellating pattern by:
- Go on Paint
- Create a parallelogram
- Draw an irregular line on the top edge of the parallelogram
- Copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the irregular line on the bottom edge
- Draw another irregular line on the left edge of the parallelogram
- Copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the irregular on the right edge
- Delete the original parallelogram
- Experiment with colours and fill in your tile
- Copy and paste the tile to be able to make the tessellation

The Journey of One Direction
I recommend you to watch "One Direction - Tamaki College" simply because it is amazing. They travel from time to time, being a child, to being an adult, and the music that's involved behind the film is phenomenal!

Sewing
My final task for sewing was to finish my coin purse which I had designed, but there was a problem, there was no way that I could do it on my own! To be honest, I wasn’t very good at stitching and threading things.
My design incorporated the Union Jack on the back and the Irish flag on the front. Controlling the speed that the machine went was done through putting weight onto the pedal. Cautiously I pressed the pedal to start off slowly at first and then I put more weight on it so that it would go faster. I didn’t realize that I was going really fast until I was halfway.I had high expectations of myself to complete my purse. In the end my purse turned out to be what I expected it to be.

Swimming is essential
We are learning to use the features of explanation writing to inform and persuade others.

Swimming skills apart from saving your life are also beneficial for your health. Swimming keeps us fit. In New Zealand we are surrounded by water. Every summer or when the weather is warm, thousands of people, adults and children swarm to our beautiful clean beaches. Tourists also enjoy our beaches. Some beaches have strong rips and learning to swim and developing essential survival skills in the water can save your life and also provide you with the skills to save the life of someone else.
Swimming is an essential part of New Zealand Education.
