Swimming is essential

We are learning to use the features of explanation writing to inform and persuade others.

Swimming is an inclusive part of New Zealand Education. It provides us with the essential skills to prevent the loss of life because of drowning; The rate of children drowning has  increased over the years.  While many people may think that drownings occur only at the beach, there are a number of drownings that happen in pools.

Swimming skills apart from saving your life are also beneficial for your health.  Swimming keeps us fit.  In New Zealand we are surrounded by water.  Every summer or when the weather is warm, thousands of people, adults and children swarm to our beautiful clean beaches.  Tourists also enjoy our beaches.  Some beaches have strong rips and learning to swim and developing essential survival skills in the water can save your life and also provide you with the skills to save the life of someone else.

Christmas Puppy

We've been learning about personal and private information online.  We have been learning to decide what personal information  is safe to share online.

Hey, My name is Clarade; I am 12 years of age. I currently am a year 8, ending my last year here in Saint Patrick’s. I once had a puppy named Ruff, he was fluffy, squashy and also extraordinarily cute, and unfortunately he died. My favourite subject so far is Mathematics. I’m not a really big fan of reading books; I only am fascinated by mystery books. My favourite band in history is One Direction. My favourite food is well, everything!
Enjoy reading my blog.
